Day 8

I had 0 donations. No new likes. Nothing exciting regarding my campaign.
However! I did have a phone interview! Which means job possibilities! YAAAAAY

I could put away money for my car, I could afford to get the stuff I need to kick start my online ventures! Ugh so many possibilities. I have another interview Monday, so fingers and toes crossed.

Finding other ways to make money!

So Since my Facebook ads have been uh.. costly. Along with the fact my campaign isnt going so smoothly I have ventured elsewhere for the time being to make some extra cash.
Ebay! I have sold items before but never really knew what I was doing.

After much learning I finally felt comfortable listing some items and I am happy to say I made $15 today. I have many more items to list that I estimate will make me around $150.00 Which isnt much really but it's more than I had before.

Researching what else I could sell online as well to make money. So hopefully in time I can get a pretty nice profit.

Nothing exciting or worth talking about happened with my campaign today so I will just end this here.

Tesla Acknowledges Me/Donation!

Except not really. They replied to a comment I made on a post. Which was exciting! Hoping they decided to check my page out, but probably not. They have better things to do like saving the world from gas and cool stuff like that.

A contribution was made today!! WOOO By Nicholas Steenberg an awesome kid looking to intern for Tesla Motors! I also began the application process for a Tesla Motors, but as a  product specialist. There is one about 40 minutes away from me. Is it far? sorta. Would it be worth it? Totally.
I would walk into work every day with big smile like this:

Because who wouldnt be excited to go in every day?
Going down there tomorrow to talk to some people, see what the drive is like and if the position is still open. #excited. Hoping the day goes as planned and I am able to actually go down there. Lord knows I'll spend a few hours sitting in a Tesla if they have some on site for display. I don't see why they wouldnt, but you never know. Hope for the best, expect the worst right?

Anyways here is what was posted for Nicholas

For whatever reason I can not see it on my page. He can, so that is all that matters. What a cool guy.

Day 5

74,000 people have seen my Facebook Page. 75 People "Like" it. and 175 are talking about it.
215 visits to my IndieGoGo page. 114 Referrals. 1 donation.

If each person who viewed my page donated 50 cents, I would be half way there. That's crazy to think.

It's exciting to see how many people have seen my page. Depressing how only 1 in a thousand "Like" my page. Better than 1 in a million though.

So I saw a Red Tesla Model S today. It was on Hillsborough Ave. I saw while pumping gas. I began sobbing on the inside, knowing the driver is thinking "Look at those people paying for gas. Polluting our air."

Ugh if I had a million dollars... Stick half away to make money off the interest. Use some to buy my Dream car. Eventually get a house on a large piece of bare land after making smart investments. Plant it up with trees and native foliage. Donate money to wildlife and park organizations. Ugh If only. If only.

UPDATE: Another Donation Made!! :D So as of 10:45 pm I now am 0.02% there! Thankyou Kimberly!

DONATION MADE!

Today, Someone by the name of Toby Hinloopen Donated! $5. Which is 0.01%
It could have been a Dollar and I still would have jumped and gasped and gone running through the house screaming "A DONATION WAS MADE A DONATION WAS MADE! SOMEONE CARES!"

This brings a bit of hope back to me. Will I get enough? no, but! Someone cares and it literally made my day a million times bettter. He said that I hope I enjoy my cigarette lighter... Not sure what that means, I don't smoke.

So thankyou Toby, you are a wonderful human.

This is what I put on Facebook as a Public thankyou
I wish I had picked a different color, Why I didnt pick black I have no idea. Maybe my mind wasn't there completely because of excitement. Who knows.

:D

Campaign Day 3

Today gave me the smallest bit of hope. 66 Facebook page likes. My page reached out to 42,000 people. 113 are talking about it. People have begun sharing and liking. Whether it be to laugh or support I don't know.

I am quickly running out of money to fund these ads I have been running on Facebook, but if people continue to share like they are I may not need to run the ads any longer.

My IndieGoGo page has 76 Referrals, none contributing. I have people from all over the world who have viewed it. Again, no funding. Which is understandable. Just depressing.
I am quickly learning the do's and dont's when trying to grab peoples attention. What works for me so far is what grabs my attention... KITTIES. disgustingly cute kitties. All that I have turned into Tesla Lovers :)

For example:

That has been the biggest hit so far, I am a tad obsessed with it as well. I have 56 or 57 days left. Will I make it? Probably not. No. Is it super fun and amusing trying? Absolutely. So it is totally worth it to me.

Alrighty I am off to build my car again, find ways to make money, then hold a pillow and cry.

Day 2

It is day 2 of my campaign to get my hands on my dream car.
As of this write up, there are 19 people liking my Facebook page, 38 IndieGoGo views, 3,000 facebook page views.
Yet sadly, $0 contributions. Which is understandable. Just a tad bit depressing. I have been paying for ads to be displayed on Facebook in the hopes of reaching a broader audience. It seems to be working, rather slowly but steady.

I have started looking at other ways in which to make money. From affiliate programs to adsense. Neither of which have done anything. The fact my blog is not at all popular contributes to that.
I shall keep researching ways to get extra cash.

Have a good day all!

Facebook

I made a facebook page to help spread the word about what I am trying to do on IndieGoGo.

I only have 60 days to get the funds I need. I don't think it is impossible but its a long shot for sure.
So be sure to check out my FB page, share it, like it, comment it.

I will add a link to the side of this blog soon.

I have yet to raise any money, but thinking positive! 10 likes on facebook so far so hopefully that goes up and it helps.

IndieGoGo

So I thought instead of sitting and dreaming I would atleast try some way to raise money.

I came across a website called IndieGoGo.com where you can create a campaign for what you want and people have the option to donate.
I thought this was awesome so I took a little bit of time and made a campaign for a Tesla Model S. It doesn't hurt to try right? I doubt anything will come from it but even less happens when you don't even try.
So if you come across my blog and wan to check it out, go here https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/i-need-a-tesla/x/7426150

Let me know your thoughts.

Dream Car

After making my Tesla Model S endless times I have finally decided exactly how I want my Tesla Model S to look and run.

First I picked the 85 kWh Battery. With the 265 miles range. 362 hp, accelerating 0-60 in 5.4 seconds (that .5 difference is clearly important). 125 Top Speed, and the main reason for picking the 85 kWh Battery is the 8 year, unlimited mile battery warranty. I don't need the extra hp that comes with the P85, nor do I need Carbon Fiver Spoiler along with the other features that come with it. As long as I have the unlimited warranty, and the top mile rang possible, I'm a happy camper.

Personally I think Black cars are always nicer looking than any other color especially at night with the LED lights highlighting its curves and features, yet for the first time I have decided on the complete opposite of Black. I chose the Pearl White Color. Living in Florida it gets pretty hot. So I thought the lighter color would help with the heat blast that almost knocks me over when I open my car door.

Along with my new found love white White, I chose the Tan Leather interior. Keeping with that lightness and hopefully helping to keep it from getting so hot on the inside. I will of course get some nicely tinted windows, but the tan also looks nice with the Pearl White color.

I decided against the panoramic roof because I know I wont use it, I picture having to clean the glass more than I like, and I don't like the idea of the sun beaming in on my head. Lastly the appeal is nicer to me.

The wheels I'm keeping with what is included, they look nice already so there is no need to switch them out.

Dual Chargers are a must. The faster it charges, the better. Saving time where I can is important. Paying a bit more for the Dual Chargers pays off in time when you don't have to wait as long for your car to charge. Plus with 58 miles per hour charge, I can charge it for an hour and basically be set all day considering everything is close by with the exception of the mall.

Wall Connector is another must. No charging stations near by so obviously I need the wall charger or I guess I will just buy a car to look at in my garage. Actually.. Still worth it. Yup, Still worth it. Why the connector is $1,200 and not included is a head scratcher but what can you do.

Next! Tech Package. Absolutely. Why buy a luxury car, and not add the luxury features? I don't want my Tesla working like my Corolla. Not that you could even compare the two.. OK ignore my statement and focus on how I need this Tech Package.

Here is what it comes with:

  • Onboard maps for when I don't feel like dealing with my tiny phone screen.
  • Daytime LED running lights because its sexy.
  • LED cornering Lights because why not.
  • Automatic keyless entry, because fancy.
  • Lighted door handles, for the high class on the town awesome affect.
  • Electrochromatic Mirrors, so you can just press a button instead of flipping that switch nobody realizes is there.
  • Power folding, heated side mirrors. Now this is awesome, nobody can carelessly smash into your mirror if its folded in. Also, you don't have to deal with foggy mirrors in the mornings.
  • Power Liftgate for when you "shop til you drop".
  • GPS enabled Homelink so you never get lost.
  • Memory seats, mirrors, and driver profile. I have no idea what that is, all I know is its probably useful and awesome.

Alright moving along, Parking Sensors. I would much rather pay for something I may only use once or twice than to have a scratched car from my own misjudgment.

Fog Lamps. I live in an area where we get fog, along with that fog comes deer. They seem to love busy roads when there is fog. I like my car not smashed so this is a must.

Ultra High Fidelity Sound. Something I have never had but always wanted. So when I play the live version of Rhiannon by FleetWood mac in my car, I can feel like I am there. Here is a link so you can see what good music is like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtPyk8_onO8

Premium Interior Lighting for added fanciness.

Lastly Paint Armor. I am not dealing with lovebugs splattered on my car ruining my paint.

Now all I need is $88,470 excuse me as I go cry now.

Build your Tesla Model S and let me know what you would do to it, or if you already have one, let me know how you like it.

I Love Tesla

Hey what's up, just a 20 year old who is in love with a car.
Tesla Model S. I literally make this car online everyday. I'm obsessed and it sucks because I could never afford one.
This blog will basically be about Tesla, news for them. My dreams that will never happen ect.

Today I entered the ebay giveaway for the Tesla Model S. Fingers crossed right? They say the tax would be about $30,000 or so, on a car valued around $102,170. Source is http://cleantechnica.com/2014/05/01/tesla-model-s-giveaway-ebay/

So my plan would be sell it because i cant afford the tax, then buy a cheaper model. Or, put it in a bank, collect some interest or so then buy it when I could afford the one I want, while having cash left over. Because who wants to be broke... not I. I'm sure it isnt that easy and I am probably all wrong on how I plan to do it, but I would figure it out.

Currently driving a Toyota Corolla and I just hate buying gas. Literally cringe every time I go to get it. I hate what it does to the environment. I hate what it does to my wallet. I just despise gas. I like my air clean, and my trees green.
